Doppio

Not a calculator. A metronome you can read.

Named after doppio movimento — the score marking for "play twice as fast" — with a nod to the double espresso. Doppio shows your track's tempo and its half/double partner as two overlapping rhythms, so you can see the relationship instead of doing the maths mid-mix.

Setting the tempo

• Swipe up or down anywhere to set the BPM (0.1 steps, 20–300). A faint scale on the right edge shows where you are — grab it to jump to an absolute BPM.
• Hold a second finger to slip into fine mode: the swipe slows ~10× for decimal nudges — handy mid-set when you're moving.
• Haptic detents tick on every whole BPM, with a firmer thud on the flip and a brief on-screen flash in the theme's contrary tone.

Reading the beat

• Tap to flip between half-time and double-time — e.g. for the drop.
• Two-finger tap cycles five beat styles — Orbit, Ripple, Sweep, Pulse, Bare — and remembers your choice.
• Shake the phone to jump to one of 12 cross-hue themes; the result tempo stays rock-steady and glanceable in a dark booth.
